Frequently asked

I work with adolescents and adults who are facing a variety of life's challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and difficulties coping with everyday problems. With more than 33 years of clinical experience, I enjoy helping clients identify practical solutions that improve their overall quality of life and emotional well-being.
I believe therapy should focus on where you are today and where you'd like to be moving forward. While understanding your past can be helpful, much of our work will center on developing practical strategies that help you cope more effectively, overcome current challenges, and create a more fulfilling life. My goal is to work alongside you in identifying realistic, meaningful goals that support lasting growth.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, discuss the challenges you're currently facing, and identify the goals you'd like to achieve. I strive to create a welcoming, respectful environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.
I believe healing begins by understanding your current situation and identifying practical steps that move you toward the life you want to live. Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, strengthen your coping skills, and develop strategies that help you manage challenges with greater confidence. My role is to support and guide you as you work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Absolutely. Many people begin therapy feeling uncertain about what to say or where to begin. You don't need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. My job is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you make sense of what you're experiencing. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and work together to identify the goals that matter most to you.
