About

We are constantly battling the game of life with new stressors and events that can make the day-to-day seem overwhelming. Together, I want to work with you on ways to adapt and deal with stressors in an ever-changing world. If you’re ready to be the best version of yourself, let's start today. why wait until tomorrow?

I have worked in many different mental health environments, including inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, private practice, and working virtually, doing assessments for hospitals.

The therapy process’s success is reliant on a good relationship between the client and therapist, and that starts with finding the right fit. I like to share a bit about myself to help in this process. The first question I always get is, “How do you pronounce your name?” My name is pronounced Joshua without the J. I love sports of all kinds. However, I am a huge fan of the Steelers, Knicks, Nationals, Ohio State football, and Manchester United. Don’t worry, all fans of other teams are welcome.

On a deeper note, I was inspired to work in mental health care by my own experiences with counseling in my youth. I understand that every mental health journey is unique, and I will work to meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be.

If you are struggling, consider seeking support today. Please contact me so we can take the steps necessary to improve your life today. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Frequently asked

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and emotional difficulties that can make everyday life feel overwhelming. Having worked in inpatient hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, private practice, and hospital assessment settings, I have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of clinical needs. My goal is to help you build practical coping skills and develop greater confidence in managing life's challenges.
I believe successful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. Every person's journey is different, so I tailor treatment to your unique needs, goals, and experiences. Together, we'll identify the obstacles keeping you from living the life you want while developing practical strategies to help you cope with stress, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting positive change.
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals while answering any questions you have about the counseling process. Finding the right therapist is an important part of successful treatment, and I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable being yourself from the very beginning.
My own experiences with counseling when I was younger inspired me to pursue a career in mental health. Because of that experience, I understand that reaching out for help can feel intimidating and that every person's journey is unique. While your experiences will be different from mine, I approach therapy with empathy, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to helping you find the tools and confidence needed to move forward.
I see clients in person at our McLean and Vienna offices. Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or returning after a break, my goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you can work toward becoming the healthiest version of yourself. Together, we'll develop practical strategies to help you navigate life's challenges and make meaningful progress toward your goals.
