About

Before going back to get her master's, she worked with children on the Autism Spectrum, providing in-home therapy. She also worked for a non-profit adoption agency, advocating for their foster care to adoption program.

While getting her master's, Molly had an internship at a mentoring program for teens where she worked directly with the teenagers and their mentors. After this, she provided therapy for individuals of all ages who did not have health insurance and needed access to mental health care. From August of 2022 until October of 2023, Molly was providing individual, group, and family therapy to teenagers in an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program.

Molly's specialty is working with children and adolescents and their families. She is trained in DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, and SMART recovery modalities and has also used ABFT and IFS with adolescents and families.

She is based out of our Old Town & McLean office.

Frequently asked

I primarily work with children, adolescents, and their families who are navigating a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. My experience includes helping young people struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, family conflict, and life transitions. I enjoy partnering with both children and their caregivers to build skills, strengthen relationships, and support long-term growth.
I believe every child and family is unique, so I tailor treatment to each person's individual needs. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), SMART Recovery, Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel understood while learning practical skills that foster resilience and emotional well-being.
The first session is focused on getting to know your child and your family. We'll discuss your concerns, your child's strengths, and the goals you'd like to work toward in therapy. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where children and teens feel comfortable expressing themselves at their own pace while also helping parents understand how they can support progress outside of sessions.
Yes. I believe families play an important role in a child's emotional well-being and success in therapy. When appropriate, I involve parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and help reinforce the skills children and teens are learning during sessions. My goal is to support the entire family in creating lasting, positive change.
Yes. I have experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents in both Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). This has given me experience supporting teens facing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, and other complex mental health concerns. I work collaboratively with teens and their families to build healthy coping skills, increase resilience, and help them move toward lasting recovery and emotional wellness.
