About

Hello, my name is Mohsen Parvizi, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I work with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, co-occurring disorder, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

As a bilingual English- and Farsi/Persian-speaking therapist, I understand the importance of cultural identity, family dynamics, and the unique experiences that come with navigating multiple cultures or generational expectations. I strive to create a welcoming, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood, respected, and supported.

I accept new client/patient from 15 years old and older. My counseling approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based interventions to help clients build resilience, improve coping skills, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling and Development from George Mason University and have 8 years of experience working in outpatient and community mental health settings. My goal is to help clients develop healthier thought patterns, improve emotional well-being, and strengthen their confidence in managing everyday challenges.

Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, but taking the first step is a sign of strength. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, balance, and self-discovery.

Frequently asked

I work with adolescents (ages 15 and older), adults, and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, co-occurring disorders, and life transitions. Whether you're facing a recent challenge or have been struggling for some time, I provide a supportive environment where we can work together toward meaningful change.
Yes. I provide therapy in both English and Farsi (Persian). As a bilingual therapist, I understand the importance of culture, family values, and the unique experiences that can come with balancing different cultural expectations. My goal is to create a welcoming, culturally sensitive space where you feel understood, respected, and comfortable expressing yourself in the language that feels most natural to you.
I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based interventions. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, build healthy coping skills, and work toward lasting emotional well-being and personal growth.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, review your personal history, and identify the goals you'd like to achieve. I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe sharing your experiences and asking questions throughout the process.
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process. If you're looking for a therapist who values collaboration, provides culturally responsive care, and combines practical, evidence-based strategies with compassion and understanding, we may be a good fit. Together, we'll create a treatment plan that reflects your individual strengths, goals, and life experiences while helping you build confidence and resilience along the way.
