About
Prior to graduate school, I attended West Virginia University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies. As a Northern Virginia native, I feel especially passionate about serving the children, adolescents, young adults, and families in the community where I was raised.
I work with children, teens, and young adults using a trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based approach. My areas of focus include early childhood development, emotional and behavioral concerns, life transitions, family challenges, and building healthy coping skills. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play-based techniques, and creative interventions into my work to meet each client at their developmental level. I also have experience working within therapeutic foster care, which has strengthened my understanding of trauma, attachment, and the importance of creating safe and supportive relationships with children and caregivers.
I chose this profession because of my genuine love for helping children and families navigate challenges, recognize their strengths, and feel empowered in their growth. I strive to create a warm, accepting, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
