Frequently asked

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, parenting concerns, substance use, serious mental illness, suicidal thoughts, and life transitions. With more than 10 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings, I tailor treatment to each person's unique needs while helping clients develop practical skills to improve their overall well-being.
My approach is person-centered and solution-focused. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based strategies that help you reach your goals. Together, we'll identify what's working well, explore the challenges you're facing, and develop practical solutions that fit your values, strengths, and individual circumstances.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you'd like to accomplish. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences while we begin building a treatment plan that works for you.
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to begin. My goal is to help you break challenges into manageable steps while identifying practical solutions that move you toward the life you want. Through collaboration, we'll build on your strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and work together to overcome obstacles that may have previously felt impossible to navigate on your own.
I believe every client deserves to feel respected, heard, and empowered throughout the therapy process. My style is warm, collaborative, and free of judgment, allowing clients to openly discuss their experiences and goals. Rather than focusing only on problems, I help clients recognize their strengths, discover new perspectives, and develop realistic strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.
