About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., with nearly 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, addiction, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. My approach centers on building genuine relationships, fostering trust, and working collaboratively to explore life’s challenges and identify meaningful solutions.

Change can be uncomfortable and even overwhelming at times, but it’s also an essential part of growth. With years of experience guiding people through difficult transitions, I provide the support and tools needed to navigate these challenges and create lasting, positive change.

I use a Person-Centered approach to understand how past experiences shape current thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. By integrating evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I help clients increase self-awareness, build resilience, and develop practical coping strategies for everyday life.

My practice is grounded in empathy, professionalism, and a trauma-informed perspective, ensuring that each client feels heard, respected, and supported on their journey toward healing and growth. If you’re ready to take the next step, please contact us to schedule your initial appointment.

Frequently asked

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, addiction, bipolar disorder, and major life transitions. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, I've had the privilege of helping individuals navigate difficult circumstances while building healthier coping skills and creating meaningful, lasting change.
I believe that successful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, recognizing that past experiences often shape how we think, feel, and respond to life's challenges. Depending on your needs, I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you develop practical tools and reach your goals.
Change can feel uncomfortable, overwhelming, and even frightening—but it can also create opportunities for growth. My role is to help you navigate those transitions with support, perspective, and practical strategies. Together, we'll identify the challenges you're facing, build on your strengths, and develop a realistic plan to help you move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review your personal history, and identify the goals you'd like to work toward. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable throughout the process.
Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the counseling process. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and actively involved in your treatment. If you're looking for a therapist who values collaboration, takes a compassionate and trauma-informed approach, and focuses on practical solutions that fit your life, we may be a good fit. During our first few sessions, we'll work together to determine the best path toward your personal goals and overall well-being.
