About

Leeron Nowak. I am a postdoctoral psychologist with specialized training in evidence-based psychotherapy, couples therapy, and psychological assessment.

I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Family and Couples Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles, and completed my pre-doctoral internship at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Veterans Affairs Medical Center. I have also completed additional specialized training in health psychology and neuropsychology across medical, academic, and community settings.

I provide individual and couples therapy for adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, major life transitions, and other mental health challenges. My clinical work is grounded in warmth, collaboration, and authenticity. I work from a belief that meaningful change emerges from emotional insight and value-driven action, and I support my clients in finding ways to strengthen relationships and align with their values.

I also provide comprehensive psychological evaluations to help patients find answers for their symptoms and help create treatment plans.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I emphasize a person-centered approach where therapeutic intervention and treatment are highly individualized and informed by the client’s needs and preferences.

I look forward to working with you and making progress on your mental health goals.

Yes. I have specialized training in couples therapy and enjoy helping partners improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, navigate conflict, and build healthier relationship patterns. Whether you're facing ongoing challenges or simply want to strengthen your relationship, we'll work together to identify goals and develop practical strategies that support lasting change.
I provide comprehensive psychological evaluations to help clarify diagnoses, better understand symptoms, and guide treatment planning. Psychological assessments can offer valuable insight into emotional, behavioral, and cognitive functioning, helping you and your treatment team make informed decisions about the most effective path forward.
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and discuss what brings you to therapy or evaluation. We'll review your current concerns, personal history, and goals while identifying the approach that best fits your needs.
