About

I have also worked with active-duty military for nine years. I believe this has greatly increased my ability to work with survivors of abuse and trauma. When working with others, I like to find out what their goals are and what they feel they are ready to work on to improve their quality of life. I encourage, validate, and support throughout the therapeutic experience to help someone achieve their goals.

I have personal and professional experience with childhood abuse and suicide that has afforded me the ability to empathize and know firsthand some of the hardships associated with these circumstances. In addition, my professional experience has allowed me to learn some very effective options in helping others.

I genuinely enjoy helping others and seeing them achieve a good quality of life. I look forward to the opportunity to help you identify your goals for therapy. I offer support and guidance to help you get to where you want to go!

Frequently asked

I enjoy working with adults who are navigating trauma, abuse, grief, life transitions, and other difficult experiences. My background working with foster children and active-duty military members has given me extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced significant adversity. I believe everyone deserves a safe space to heal, build resilience, and move toward a better quality of life.
I believe therapy should begin with your goals. During our work together, we'll discuss what you'd like to achieve, what feels most important to you, and what you're ready to work on. My role is to provide encouragement, validation, guidance, and practical support while helping you develop the tools needed to make meaningful changes in your life. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Trauma affects every person differently, so I take a compassionate, individualized approach to treatment. My professional experience working with survivors of abuse, combined with my personal understanding of trauma and loss, allows me to meet clients with empathy and without judgment. Together, we'll focus on creating emotional safety, understanding how past experiences may be affecting your present, and developing healthy ways to move forward.
All of my sessions are conducted through a secure telehealth platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home or another confidential location. Telehealth offers the same compassionate, personalized care as in-person therapy while providing greater flexibility and convenience. All you'll need is a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable talking.
Absolutely. Many of my clients are attending therapy for the first time. It's completely normal to feel nervous or unsure about what to expect. During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, and identifying the goals you'd like to work toward. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable throughout the process.
