About
Founded in 1992, the organization has continued to grow and restructure to offer specialized programs that meet the needs of the community. With three different campuses, The Light House serves over 100 individuals every year and caters to a range of different needs. Their mission is to educate and prepare individuals with disabilities for life, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development for lifelong independence. They offer a continuum of services from education to independent living, including state-approved private schools, residential and transitional services, vocational training, and state-contracted adult services. The Light House's approach is multi-disciplinary and community-based, with a focus on preparing individuals for the next critical step of their life.
