Founded in 1992, the organization has continued to grow and restructure to offer specialized programs that meet the needs of the community. With a mission to educate and prepare individuals with disabilities for life, The Light House offers a continuum of services from education to independent living. Their programs integrate community access, learning, and independent living, and strive to prepare individuals for the next critical step of their life. The Light House has three different campuses that serve over 100 individuals every year and cater to a range of different needs. Their approach is centered around educating and preparing individuals for life, with a focus on individual potential, mutual respect, dignity, and value. They aim to foster social, emotional, and cognitive development for lifelong independence.
