Vocational Skills Services, Inc.

is an organization that operates day programs for adults with developmental disabilities throughout the Ventura County area. The practice serves men and women referred by the Regional Center, who meet entrance criteria between the ages of 18-65 and are interested in participating in volunteer work, recreation, education, and job training within their local community. They also have a senior citizens program. The program is free of charge to those who qualify, and participants do not need to pay for activities unless specified. Vocational Skills Services has its own vehicles that can transport individuals to activities if needed, and they offer free snacks and small lunches for program participants. Many of their staff members speak Spanish.
