The Arc of Southside is a local chapter of The Arc of Virginia and The Arc of the United States, promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They actively support full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. The Arc of Southside supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities exclusively in their own homes or apartments, assists individuals with developmental disabilities in obtaining skills and support for employment, and engages the community to promote inclusion. They also offer Transition Services to help youth with developmental disabilities prepare for and transition into work and adult life after they graduate.
