About
She helps her patients find strategies to cope with and overcome social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties associated with Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, and Asperger Syndrome. Tanya conducts independent psycho-educational evaluations to determine a child's learning style, strengths, weaknesses, and eligibility for special education services. She consults with districts and families and advocates on behalf of students with learning disabilities and emotional issues in the Massachusetts area. Tanya uses an eclectic, interactive approach, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, Relaxation and Visualization, EMDR, and other practice modalities as appropriate. As a bilingual clinician, she is sensitive to the needs of patients who were born outside of the United States and can differentiate between second-language development and specific learning disabilities.
