Signs of Life Counseling, PLLC, is a professional counseling practice led by Steven Sellars, a board-certified, state-licensed professional counselor, and national certified counselor. With over 17 years of experience as a part-time and volunteer firefighter, first responder, and chaplain, Steven specializes in stress management, trauma-crisis and recovery, and psychological first aid. He has a unique approach to helping individuals, couples, families, and kids work through relationships, divorce, and separation. Steven is a trained play therapist, Kimochi facilitator, certified in TFCBT, CBITS, CISM specialist, and knowledgeable with the DSM5 diagnostic manual. He has extensive experience in helping combat veterans, emergency personnel, and military personnel cope with grief, loss, and recovery. Steven's goal is to help individuals develop immediate, short-term, long-term, and life stress reduction and recovery. He believes that therapy doesn't need to last forever but only as long as necessary, and he works with clients to develop a plan for their success.
