STOMP (Specialized Training of Military Parents) is a federally funded Parent Training and Information (PTI) Center established to empower military parents, individuals with disabilities, and service providers with knowledge, skills, and resources to create a collaborative environment for family and professional partnerships without regard to geographic location. STOMP serves military families of children with disabilities in four main ways: providing information and training about laws, regulations, and resources; connecting families to other families; assisting parents and professionals in developing their own community parent education/support group; and providing a voice to raise awareness of issues faced by military families of children with disabilities. STOMP is the only National Parent Training and Information Center for military families providing support and advice to military parents without regard of the type of medical condition their child has. The STOMP Project provides workshops and presentations to give families access to services, regardless of their geographic location.
