South Chicago Parents and Friends, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and providing support for their families. Founded in 1976 by a small group of parents and friends from the southeast side of Chicago, we strive to create options and opportunities so that our consumers can live productively, work in rewarding jobs, and value themselves and their roles in society. Our board of directors, made up of volunteers, guides our organization as we serve individuals and their families throughout southeast Chicago and the southern suburbs.
