Shelly promotes a safe and accepting environment to help each client feel secure throughout the therapeutic process. She strives to assist clients in viewing their strengths and to develop coping skills and strategies to help navigate through life stressors. Shelly has experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and grief and loss. She utilizes modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and strengths-focused approaches. Shelly received a Licensed Master of Social Work and graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with her MSW. She understands the importance of balance and encourages self-growth and awareness of strengths to help along an individual's mental health journey. Shelly encourages and praises individuals for taking the first step of their mental health journey through therapy.
