The center serves over 48,000 individuals and their families in San Diego and Imperial counties with a staff of 1,000 and a combined budget of $1.2 billion annually. The San Diego Regional Center provides a variety of services to persons with developmental disabilities and their families, including Early Start Service Coordination, Coordinated Family Support, Clinical Services, and Paid Internships. Any San Diego or Imperial County resident believed to have a developmental disability may apply for services. Eligibility is determined by the social, medical, and psychological information gathered during the intake process.
