Penquis is a nonprofit organization founded in 1967 with a mission to prevent, reduce, and eliminate poverty through its programs and subsidiaries. Our focus is on Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox counties in Maine, but we also impact all sixteen counties. We strive to help individuals and families break free from poverty and to engage the community in addressing economic and social needs. Our team is dedicated to making a positive change in the lives of those we serve.
