Founded in 1994, the organization has several offices located throughout New York State, staffed by Regional Coordinators who are parents or close relatives of individuals with special needs. Parent to Parent of NYS offers various services, including parent-to-parent support, information and referral, and training workshops. Their mission is to reduce isolation and empower families to navigate and influence service systems, making informed decisions. The organization's vision is to be the voice of families of people with disabilities, supporting them to be empowered and lead hopeful lives.
