The second phase involves teaching caregivers how to give instructions that young children are likely to follow and implementing a technique that allows caregivers to respond consistently and predictably to child non-compliance. Palmetto State PCIT also offers customized therapy at home using TeleHealth technology, which allows the caregiver and child to participate in therapy in the child's natural home environment. This can be even more effective than in an office setting, as the therapist can see the child's behavior issues at home sooner and intervene immediately.
