About
At NCS, they believe academic achievement and social-emotional growth are imperative to developing the whole child. Their schools, located in Harlem and the Bronx, offer a fully inclusive program that serves high-functioning children on the autism spectrum along with their neighborhood peers. NCS's academic program focuses on making sure that all of their students are fluent readers, confident writers, and have solid math skills. They also offer after-school programming, which includes homework help, enrichment activities such as science clubs, and middle school students have access to free SHSAT prep courses. The schools have a co-teaching model with two teachers in every classroom, providing targeted, individualized learning experiences for their students.
