Founded by families in 1952, the agency continues to operate with a great deal of input from families. MidState Arc supports hundreds of individuals in 26 towns across central Connecticut, surrounding their headquarters in Meriden. They promote and advocate for people of all ages living with developmental disabilities, helping them reach their full potential and become valued, respected, and connected members of their community through means including Assistive Technologies. The team at MidState Arc works to support the life-long journey to independence at home and integration in the community, using new technologies, policies, and funding options to accelerate this transition.
