Easter Seals Connecticut, Head Start | Oakhill

Established by Congress in 1965, Easter Seals Connecticut, Head Start & Oakhill is a comprehensive child development program designed to promote school readiness by fostering healthy development in low-income children and their families. Our comprehensive services include health, nutrition disability services, early childhood development and family community partnerships. Our Head Start approach actively involves parents in the program through partnerships, policy councils and home visits. We also provide inclusive education for young children with disabilities. With individualized strength based curriculum of multiple learning disciplines, Head Start works to provide preventative healthcare services, promote literacy and language development and foster an understanding of a child’s day and learning experiences.
