About
Michelle provides individual therapy for adults and emerging adults, using a multicultural and cognitive narrative approach. She helps clients understand how their personal challenges are shaped by experiences and the stories they tell about themselves. Michelle integrates cognitive therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support new ways of thinking, coping, and engaging with the world. Alongside her therapy practice, she serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy at Arizona State University, mentoring students in both academic and personal growth. Her dual experience in teaching and counseling strengthens her ability to help individuals navigate personal, academic, and existential challenges, especially academics and students. Michelle has worked with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship challenges, family dynamics, identity exploration, and cross-cultural experiences. She has experience providing therapy in individual and group settings, particularly within university counseling centers. Her approach is thoughtful, practical, and carefully attuned to each client’s unique cultural and personal context.
