Founded by Melissa Schwaner, MSW, LCSW, in the Spring of 2019, the practice offers counseling services for children and adolescents at any developmental level, including therapeutic art and play therapy. They also provide counseling for adults and families, as well as support for parents and guardians to manage their child's behaviors. With a focus on helping clients discover their potential and create a meaningful life path, Swan Therapy Group has four locations in Ocean County, New Jersey, including Toms River, Brick, Manahawkin, and Little Egg Harbor Township. Their experienced therapists use a variety of techniques, including play and music therapy, to help clients process change, divorce, bullying, social rejection, grief or loss, anxiety, and other stressors in today's society. By incorporating creative mediums and universal tools, Swan Therapy Group helps clients learn life skills and express themselves in a safe and supportive environment.
