About
She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Global, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Katherine offers individual therapy to people with depression, anxiety, trauma histories, ADHD, and problems with self-esteem and relationships. She helps clients practice emotional regulation, build self-compassion, and figure out how they want their life to be and how to get closer to it. Katherine also accepts a limited number of couples, particularly those looking to nurture their relationship or going through a life transition. She does not work with couples where one or more is planning to leave or doesn’t think there is capacity to reconcile. Additionally, Katherine offers therapy to people who have experienced trauma, those who criticize and judge themselves, and individuals with big mental health problems. She is kink- and polyamory-friendly and aims to be informed about systemic and cultural forces. Katherine’s approach is trauma-informed and primarily informed by Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT). She has a private practice in Olympia, WA, and also works at Northwest Resources as a mental health counselor.
