Karen specializes in Coping Skills, Chronic Pain, and Grief. She uses somatic movement therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies and find alive embodied presence. Her approach focuses on the body's intelligence to help with physical and psychological challenges. Karen offers in-person sessions outdoors and on Zoom, and also leads online groups and workshops. She has over thirty years of experience in dance, performance, and teaching movement study. Karen's qualifications include being a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst, a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist, and a WA Certified Counselor. She has a Masters in Somatic Psychology and has been working with clients to help them find new ways of thinking and being to daily life challenges. Karen's passion for movement study has developed into an inquiry of the role of the body in learning and healing, and she believes that learning and healing are intertwined processes that involve the body and the mind.
