Julissa's approach integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with a culturally attuned, relational lens that honors both psychological insight and earth-based cosmologies. She works with therapists, teachers, healers, and creatives who are seeking thoughtful, integrative therapy focused on trauma, neurodivergence, and authentic personal growth. Julissa's background in Studio Art and Gender Studies from Dartmouth College and Childhood Education and Clinical Social Work from Hunter College informs her work, which is also influenced by her training in EMDR and hypnotherapy, as well as her long-standing study in Reiki and symbolic traditions, including astrology and tarot. Julissa's experience as a founding teacher at Harvest Collegiate High School in Manhattan and her current role on the board of Heal+ New Mexico demonstrate her commitment to advancing health equity and promoting racial justice.
