At the Idaho Assistive Technology Project (IATP), we strive to make technology the great equalizer by helping Idahoans with disabilities acquire the assistive technology they need to live more independent lives. Since 1992, IATP has been a federally funded grant project located at the Center on Disabilities and Human Development with the University of Idaho, the result of the adoption of the Technology – Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1988, also known as the “Tech Act.” Our mission is to empower those with disabilities to use assistive technology to increase their independence and quality of life.
