Founded in 1957, Harwood Center Inc. is a private nonprofit agency providing education, therapy, and support to families and children with developmental disabilities in the Mid-South area. With over 5,000 children served since its opening, Harwood Center offers specialized education and therapeutic services to children between the ages of 2 and the transition to kindergarten with diagnosed disabilities, developmental delays, and/or behavioral challenges. Services are delivered by our highly-qualified team, including licensed special education teachers, board certified behavior analysts, educational specialists, and behavior technicians, in our two preschool locations (Hanley and our CUBS classroom at U of M) and our clinic at the University of Memphis. Our mission is to help children reach their full potential by providing ongoing training and support to our families.
