Skaters of all ages and disabilities, including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, sensory impairments, learning disabilities, and more, benefit from the program’s physical benefits like improved posture and balance, as well as social and recreational activities. With the help of 1.8 volunteers per skater, and in a warm and supportive environment, Gliding Stars creates a positive self-image that enhances the quality of life and allows skaters to succeed in other life situations.
