Founded in 1974 by the Junior League and Sertoma Club of Kingsport, the center serves individuals of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, offering comprehensive evaluations, treatments, and educational resources. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for everyone – regardless of their ability to pay – through state-of-the-art audiology and advanced speech pathology methods. The center's comprehensive services are designed to support individuals with speech, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders, such as newborn infants who are unable to suck or swallow to obtain nourishment, children with feeding difficulties and disorders, and adults who have suffered strokes, head injuries, hearing loss, progressive neurological disorders, stuttering, and voice disorders.
