Directions in Independent Living, Inc. is a Cattaraugus and Allegany county-based organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities live with greater dignity and independence. Our staff is focused on providing person-centered, compassionate care, and our collaborative team relationship with medical and social work professionals ensures the multi-faceted needs of our individuals are met with the highest standards of care available. We serve individuals with cognitive, mental health, physical, visual, and hearing impairments, including those related to age, blindness, or disability, and their families, regardless of economic standing. Medicaid and non-Medicaid services are both provided. Established in 1989 to provide support and advocate for equal civil rights, increased accessibility to community services, and greater independence, Directions in Independent Living, Inc. has made significant progress in Olean since its inception.
