Davey Lubin

With nearly 40 years of experience as a naturalist and biologist in Southeast Alaska, Captain Lubin offers personalized wildlife and adventure excursions. The company provides a range of services, including wildlife tours, surf and turf ocean/forest adventures, coastal wilderness transport, and scientific research logistics. They also work on marine debris removal and offer shore-based experiences by Special-Use Permit from the US Forest Service. Captain Lubin's passion for natural history and boating is evident in his approach to infusing the healing nature of nature into all his experiences. He holds a USCG-issued 100-ton master license, a BS in forest sciences, and a master's degree in mental health counseling. Captain Lubin is a licensed teacher of biology in Alaska schools and has a background in commercial fishing, federal foreign fisheries biology, and US Forest Service botany. He serves as a mental health clinician and has been teaching Alaska natural history since 1986.
