(CDD NCA) is a 501(c)3 Unites Way agency that provides supports and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the North Alabama community from birth through adulthood. They offer a range of services, including an early childhood program, an adult residential program, the community experience program, the supported employment program, and personal care. These services are designed to recognize the individual strengths, dreams, and preferences of each person and empower them to live, work, and recreate in their community with dignity and independence. CDD NCA serves individuals in four North Alabama counties and operates 22 residential homes, supporting the needs of 280 individuals. They are certified and monitored by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) and the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS), and their services are typically provided at no cost to the individual or their family, regardless of income.
