About
Black Sheep Counseling, led by Licensed Professional Counselor Brooklyn Michelle Sellers, is a space made for individuals to question, dismantle, and prune that which never served them. Brooklyn, a native of Shannon, Mississippi, is familiar with the needs of and struggles faced by those living within Northeast Mississippi. With a BA in Psychology from The University of Mississippi in 2015 and a M.Ed. in Counselor Education in 2017, Brooklyn has worked with individuals of all ages and families with vastly different backgrounds, needs, strengths, diagnoses, and goals to become their best selves. She views counseling as an opportunity to help others recognize their potential and live in accordance with it. At Black Sheep Counseling, the goal is not to fix or facilitate conformity but rather to nurture each client's curiosity, authentic growth, creativity, and self-appreciation so that they can begin to think about themselves and their futures differently. Counseling is considered a holistic approach to healthcare, recognizing the link between hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Brooklyn offers both in-person and online sessions to better fit her clients' comfort levels and lifestyles.
