The Alliance of People with disAbilities is an Independent Living Center established in 1977 to serve King County, Seattle, and Redmond. Our staff provides empowering opportunities to individuals with disAbilities through referrals and private independent living plans. Our management, staff, and Board of Directors are primarily individuals with different types of disAbilities, allowing us to show people we work with our own personal experience facing systems that are often barriers. We provide services to individuals with disAbilities in small group activities and individual plans in order to reduce and eventually remove barriers to housing, employment, transportation, assistive technology, community resources, recreational facilities, healthcare, and social service resources.
