Zachary Kahmeyer

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensed in the state of Minnesota with 5+ years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, panic, relationship issues, marriage, and career difficulties. My counseling style is personal, interactive, and problem-focused. Most importantly, I believe that humor can have an effective place in therapy. It is integral to my counseling style to treat everyone with unconditional respect, compassion, and an eager desire to meet my clients where they are at. My therapy approach would be considered integrative, which combines core ideas of cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, dialectical behavior therapy, and others as needed. I strive to adjust my style to meet the unique needs of everyone that I work with to best encourage growth and change. I am a firm believer in working myself out of a job as a therapist.
