Yvonne Schlueter-Promes

My name is Yvonne Schlueter-Promes and I have thirty-two years of experience working in the field of mental health. I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP). I graduated from Wayne State College with a Master’s of Science Education specializing in Agency-Based Counseling. I combine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy. I have extensive experience working with individuals who are experiencing ADHD, Adjustment Disorders, Adoption/Attachment Issues, Anger Management, Anxiety Disorders, Behavior Disorders, Bi-Polar Issues, Survivors of Child Abuse, Conduct Disorders, Crisis Intervention, Codependency, Career Issues, Eating Disorders, Grief Counseling, Impulse Control Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Major Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorders, Parenting Issues, Postpartum Depression, PTSD, Sexual Abuse, and Stress Management. I am non-judgmental and very open minded to issues that are brought before me by the individuals that I work with. I strive to always be a friendly, safe, and consistent therapist for those that I am working with in order to assist people with meeting their therapeutic objectives and goals. I want my work in sessions to enhance my client’s skill set and enhance individuals for success in all settings and situations.
