Welcome to BetterHelp! My name is Yulia and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida with 12 years of experience in a mental health field. For the past 4 years I have been providing counseling exclusively in the online settings. I believe that for every problem there is a solution and the main goal is to find the right solution for you. The majority of my experience has been working with clients with mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety, as well as relationship issues, life changes and adjustment issues. Mostly utilized approaches in my practice are CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where we can explore how our thinking, feelings and actions are interconnected and affect each other; Solution Focused Approach is used when clients present a very specific problem that needs a specific solution, so the main focus of our therapy sessions will be exploring all options and possibilities and generating the best possible solution to your current concern. For some of my clients who suffer from a long term depression and a loss of meaning and motivation in life, I suggest we “dive a little deeper” and apply Existential psychotherapy approach. Existential approach has proven to be the most suitable when it comes to finding the meaning of life; this is when we are exploring and looking closely at the individual purpose of life and helping clients to create meaningful experiences in life and foster meaningful relationships. During sessions, you can expect compassion and understanding, it is my goal to provide a safe space that is gentle, collaborative, and direct in order to help you better understand and find a solution to current or long-standing challenges.
