His passion for advocacy, social justice and reform, and service to underserved or disregarded populations has remain unchanged. Since graduating and entering the field in 2010, Taylor has gathered broad social work experience in both the United States and the United Kingdom . He has worked extensively with children and teens in foster care, patients in psychiatric facilities and various medical settings, as well as private practice. Taylor’s extensive amount of time working in these setting has shown him the importance of maintaining physical health and mental health simultaneously to achieve the best outcomes, as well as the the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Taylor’s approach to counseling is eclectic and based upon a person’s individual needs. He primarily draws upon cognitive-behavioral therapy, systems theory, strengths-based theory, solution-focused or brief therapy, and psychoeducation.
