I am licensed in California as an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor). I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, and women’s issues. I have worked in a wide variety of settings, including outpatient, residential, and inpatient psychiatric. My approach to therapy depends on the strengths and needs of each client I work with. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (learning to recognize the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that lead to mental health symptoms), Attachment Theory (learning how the relationships formed in childhood lead to unhealthy/healthy relationships in adulthood), and Psychodynamic Theory (understanding what happened in the past and how it influences current behaviors). I decided to become a therapist because I have always been passionate about helping people through difficult times. Getting through the difficult times is what allows people to become the best version of themselves, and I want to be a part of that journey. During a first session, clients can expect me asking a lot of open-ended questions to understand the concerns that are bringing them to therapy. I prioritize creating a safe space, establishing trust, and building a therapeutic connection.
