My name is Tiffany Foster. I have obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies and Minor in Social Work (University of North Carolina at Greensboro). I have also obtained my Master’s in Social Work (Joint Master Program at North Carolina A&T State University and University of North Carolina at Greensboro). I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have 4 years of experience with therapy and counseling. I have 9 years of experience in the mental health and social work field. I have provided therapeutic services to adults and children. My treatment approach includes (but not limited too) Client-Centered Therapy; Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Mindfulness Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; and Solution-Focused. While working with clients; I truly believe that a good therapist must meet the client where they are at. I believe it’s important to build rapport with each client and allow the client to tell the therapist what goals they want to achieve. I am passionate about mental health and it is an honor to be a therapist because there are so many negative stereotypes about mental health. Life experiences can affect your mental health. We all need help at some point in life. Just in case you didn’t know; you are IMPORTANT; your feelings are VALID; and your LIFE MATTERS.
