Teresa Thiel

Hi, I’m Teresa. You have taken the first step on your journey to health and healing. It takes strength to take that first step, often the most difficult step, to ask for help. I want to help you to learn to manage your struggles and feel in control of your life. Let me tell you a bit about myself: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) practicing in Wisconsin. I have a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a MA degree in Community Psychology – Professional Counseling from Alverno College. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, anger management and ADHD. I have also helped people who have experienced sexual assault trauma or emotional abuse. My counseling style is compassionate and caring, I will not judge you or tell you what to do. I want to help you determine and achieve your goals. I believe in a client centered approach, this is ​your time, I will be there to guide you along the way, you will decide the path to take. I believe the therapeutic relationship is primary. I will work to build a trusting relationship with you. I believe in an open and honest relationship and I encourage you to share your honest feedback with me so that I can meet your needs and expectations.
