Tanya Smith

My name is Tanya Smith and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I currently work in the state of Florida and I have 10+ years of experience in areas such as: case management, psychotherapy, trauma and abuse, mental health treatment and substance abuse treatment. I have worked with children, teenagers, adults, families, and couples who have struggled with various life changes and adjustment periods, behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship challenges, trauma, abuse, and self-esteem issues. My therapeutic counseling style is client focused. I like to ensure that all sessions and interactions are positive and collaborative, working towards achieving my clients desired goals. I treat all clients with dignity, respect, kindness, and openness to avoid any judgments and/or biases. I utilize Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy I hope you will allow me to work with you in future counseling sessions and allow me to help you identify and overcome your stressors and challenges. I am in hopes that you will allow me to work with you in future counseling sessions. It is my goal to tailor all sessions in a way that would be most beneficial to you. I am flexible and can be available at times that would work best for you.
