Svetlana Rangel

My name is Svetlana Rangel.I am Licensed Professional Counselor.I have a bachelor degree in psychology from University of Louisville KY and masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from OLLU San Antonio Texas. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. Having the lived experience as a bilingual and bicultural person, I possess a unique understanding of the impact of culture on our experiences, self-worth, and approach to life. I am adept at helping children of immigrants address needs special to their situation (e.g., fears of “fitting in”, other anxiety-related problems, depression). My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, person centered and solution focused therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
