Stephen Weiss

My name is Steve Weiss and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona. As an experienced therapist with years in the field, I am committed to my clients’ journey of recovery from whatever is challenging or interfering with their quality of life. My clinical specialties are couples and family therapy, as well as individual counseling for life issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, stress management, and relationship difficulties. I also work with addiction and personality disorders. My clinical philosophy is to start where my clients are at; I understand that changes are difficult and ultimately a choice. My approach is to empower clients to look at their strengths and challenges, and assist them in deciding what changes they wish to make. I am also comfortable in working with clients whose faith is an important part of their lives. I strive to always be transparent and “clinically humble”, and understand that the client is the expert regarding his or her life. Finally, therapy for me starts with the therapeutic relationship which I work to develop with all my clients, so we can develop a supportive, therapeutic, treatment environment.
