Stephanie Trahant

Hi! I am Stephanie, a licensed professional counselor in both Virginia and Colorado. I enjoy working with people who want to move towards change in any area, and I am proactive about giving homework to clients who desire it and would benefit from it. In addition, I consider it an honor to walk with people who are on a grief journey. I like to treat the whole person; I see myself as a cross between a therapist, life coach, and spiritual director. I am a good fit for counseling through online chat, because I’m also a writer and can help you find words for the feelings in your heart. I received my master’s degree from Colorado Christian University in 1998 and have worked in the counseling field off and on since then, moving to part-time as I began raising my two, beautiful daughters. Connecting people together is something I do best: hearing all sides of the issue and helping find the common ground. In addition, I encourage those who have a faith walk to see the ways God is moving all around them. I like to bring hope and humor to the counseling session; I have seen that laughter and tears are but one step from each other. Eclectic in methodology, I stay open to anything that will bring us closer to your treatment goals. Through training I’m a counselor, in identity a mother, and by creation a free spirit.
